The series Illuminated Apple Tree contain silhouettes and shadows of the tree defined by morning light projected through a filmy screen. This scrim softens the palette and abstracts the forms. The composition of 4″x4″ to 16″x16″ birch panels is installed not in a grid or a line but more in the pattern of the blossoms or the fruit on a branch of the tree. The images investigate visual perception, the body and memory as well as exploring the concept of the shadow on personal and cultural levels.
Archival pigment prints are mounted on birch panels from 4″x 4″ to 16″x16″. The can be shown individually or grouped in different ways .
